Foster City is a young and beautiful city, near by the Medium Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area.

It's fun for names here, there are main roads named Beach Park Blvd, Shell Blvd and Edgewater Blvd, the neighborhoods called Boats, Fish, Birds,Whale Island, and a famous Preschool named Sea Breeze ,and the rent houses called Beach Cove, Shell Cove, Sand Cove, and the athletic park named Sea Cloud Park and a Marina Super Market in the Marina Plaza, we live in Harbourside. I wonder if the land was the sea long long ago.

The Fourth of July, Independence Day, our neighbors hung up the American flag in front of the door in the early morning, and said that the original residents were navy families ,recently the rising real property price up and up, they sold the houses and moved out to the other States or nursing homes. Instead of moving in are young couples of Silicon Village engineers, especially Asian immigrations. 

July 4, 2015, we joined a great party to the Central Lake Park, many people made camps, picnics,cruises and barbecues around the park to celebrate Independence Day from morning till the fireworks show brighten in the night sky. So splendid moments of rich and glorious days in the city ,all people came together from any corner of the worldwide becoming the country of America.

In Foster City, every day is sunny day, warm and steady weather and fresh air suitable to live and to bear the children . 

談談福斯特市（3）

福斯特市是一個年輕美麗的城市，近舊金山灣區的中半島。

這裡有許多地方取名很有意思，主要道路名為海灘公園大道，貝殼大道和水邊大道。社區名叫船，魚，鳥，鯨魚島。一個著名的學前幼兒園名是海風輕拂。出租房區叫海灘洞，貝殼洞，海砂洞。運動公園叫海雲公園。碼頭廣場有家碼頭超市。而我們住的社區叫海港邊。我懷疑這塊土地很久很久以前是海洋。

七月四日美國獨立紀念日，我們的鄰居大清早就在門口掛上美國國旗，談起這兒的原始居民是海軍軍眷，近年來房地產價格一直上漲，他們賣掉房子搬到別州或住到養老院去了。取而代之的是矽谷的科技工程師年輕夫婦，尤其是亞洲移民。

二O一五年七月四日，我們參與了一個盛大的聚會在中央湖公園，許多人繞著公園舉行露營，野餐，遊船和烤肉，慶祝獨立紀念日從清晨直到煙火秀照亮整個夜空。多麽燦爛輝煌的時刻，展現了這個城市的富裕繁榮。所有人來自世界各地任何角落𣾀聚到這兒，融合成美國國民。

在福斯特市，毎一天都是晴天，晴朗溫暖穩定的氣候和清新的空氣，適宜居住和養育小孩。

Last June, we made a trip to Crater Lake ,Oregon and by the way stayed in a beautiful city -Ashland ,to enjoy an unforgettable noon, we had a nice lunch and watched a musical comedy,"The Cocoanuts." Which a music and lyric Play shows Florida Hotel Cocoanuts. The story is a going bankrupt hotel near a development land and living into some  people who focus on the developments.My poor English didn't understand the sense of humor and play on words, just shared with the atmosphere delightful and laughingly.

In downtown Ashland, we were through the woods of the park where many families lay on the grass in the sunshine or were fishing and playing by the creeks,and the others were relaxing and delicate on a picnic. They were the audiences driving a long way from everywhere .Due to there are many theaters,especially three of them play Shakespeare from February to October every year.

Ashland, a city in the State of Oregon near the border of Northern California, hosts Shakespeare  

Festival every year. The Festival has grown from a summer outdoor series, during the Fourth of July celebration in 1935, to a season that stretches from February to October and has become an award-winning and internationally-regional theater company. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival has become the largest regional repertory theater in the United States.

William Shakespeare (1564-1616) wrote many plays and often was called the English national poet.

莎士比亞節在愛許蘭

去年六月，我們到奧勒岡州的火山口湖旅遊，途經一個美麗的城市愛許蘭，停留並享受了一個難忘的下午，我們吃了一頓豐盛的午餐並看了一齣音樂喜劇「可可豆」，那是一個音樂抒情歌劇表演佛羅里達州旅館可可豆，故事是一個即將破產的旅館，因為靠近一塊開發土地，而住進一些關注此開發案的房客。我的英語程度無法理解其幽默風趣和雙關語，僅能分享歡樂的氣氛和哈哈大笑聲。

在愛許蘭市中心，我們穿越公園的樹林，看到許多家人躺在暖暖的陽光下青草地上，或在小溪流邊垂釣玩水，也有許多人輕鬆愉快的野餐。他們都是從各地一路迢迢開車來的觀衆，因為這裡有許多劇場，尤其，其中有三家劇場每年從二月到十月演出莎士比亞名劇。

愛許蘭是個小城鎮，位於奧勒岡州靠近北加利福尼亞州的邊界，每年主辦莎士比亞節。這節慶始於一系列的戶外劇場演出，在1935年七月四日慶祝國慶演出一季，而逐漸發展成二月演到十月，演出得獎劇目，已然是有國際知名度的地區劇場公司。奧勒岡莎士比亞節已發展成美國最大的地區性劇場寶庫。

威廉莎士比亞生於1564年卒於1616年，寫了許多劇本，一般稱其為英國國寶詩人。

On the way home from Yellowstone National Park to California ,we were so excited to find the footprint of Mark Twain at Virginia City in Nevada.  

In my pupil time ,"The Adventures of  Tom Sawyer." "The Prince and the Pauper." and

"Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."were popular comic books. The interesting stories attracted me to read the literature of Mark Twain. And then ,every characters actives in Japanese cartoons which keep company with my children and grandchildren's childhood time. 

A signboard was curved the golden words on a building,"Mark Twain who creatly enriched the literature of the west, started his career as a writer in this building in 1862 on the editorial staff of the territorial enterprise. " Mark Twain ( November 30,1835- April 21,1910 ) was an American author and humorist.

Following the footsteps of Mark Twain, we visited to Virginia City where was known of early gold and silver mining town ,there are many original buildings, in my deep imagine that the jades put in a Rock Shop,though in Taiwan a beautiful Jade is regard as a Jewel .

It's a silent little town nearly abandoned. People are hardly to remember the past glorious time.

發現馬克吐溫的足跡

從黃石國家公園回加利福尼亞州的路上，我們很興奮的發現馬克吐溫的足跡，就在內華達州的維吉尼亞小鎮上。

在我還是小學生時，湯姆歷險記，乞丐王子和頑童歷險記是非常流行的漫畫書，有趣的

故事吸引我去讀馬克吐溫的文學作品，後來毎一個人物都活靈活現的出現在日本卡通影片中，它們持續陪伴著我的子女和孫子女的童年時光。

一塊刻著燙金字體的金屬牌釘在一幢建築物上，寫著「馬克吐溫創新豐富了西部開拓時代的文學，他的作家生涯始於這幢建築物，1862年當時他是州報業的編輯工作人員。」馬克吐溫生於1835年11月30日，卒於1910年4月21日，為美國幽默作家。

我們踩著馬克吐溫的足跡拜訪維吉尼亞小鎮，這裡曾經是早期金鑛銀鑛區的市鎮，迄今仍然保有許多原始建築，我印象最深刻的是玉放在名為石頭店內，在台灣，美麗的玉是被視為珠寶的。

它是一個沉默的小鎮，繁華落盡似乎被遺棄，人們很難回憶起它往日的榮光。

Visiting to Napa Valley

Last year ,we were shocked by the news in Taiwan that Napa Valley had an strong earthquake at 3:20 August 24 ,and lost lots of the wine which was estimated over US one billon dollars. 

Relaxing in Napa Valley Winery and enjoying to taste red and white wine was an amazing time,and appreciating the grand view of the vineyard with a birds eye from the cable car was unforgettable. Napa Valley is located in Northern California, since 1885 developed into many wineries and a large town attractively to the tourists and people expert in wine ,especially red wine famous in the world.

 Going down town Napa is a historical experience, though there are full of Victoria styles building ,beautiful and elegant standing for over hundred years. Napa Valley Wine Train run around the area still steaming ahead.

Today, we visit the famous scenery once again and admire the beauty recovering soon from earthquake.

拜訪納帕山谷

去年，我們在台灣聽到納帕谷地在八月二十四日凌晨三時二十分發生強烈地震，酒莊損失估計超過十億美元，極度震撼。因為曾經輕鬆的旅遊納帕山谷的酒莊，享受品嚐紅葡萄酒和白葡萄酒，是很美妙愉悅的時光，從纜車上鳥瞰欣賞整個山谷壯麗的葡萄園景觀，令人難忘。納帕谷地位於加利福尼亞州北部地區，從1885年就發展出許多酒廠酒莊和大城鎮，吸引了許多遊客和精於品酒的人士到訪，尤其它的紅葡萄酒世界知名。

到納帕市中心逛逛感覺彷彿走入歷史，這兒充滿維多利亞風格的建築，美麗典雅的挺立了超過百年歲月。納帕谷地的酒鄉火車仍吐著蒸氣努力繞著酒鄉跑。

今天我們再次拜訪這著名的景點，欣賞它從地震後迅速復元的美麗。

A Passionate Little Boy

1A passionate little boy

Miles, a two- year- old boy ,was taught through touching the top of his mother's belly that he would be a big brother . Welcoming to the grandparents at the airport, he knows that the grandparents will company with him sometimes instead of his parents for a few months .He is brimming with his enthusiasm to share all his toys. He works hard to push several paper boxes and pull out the precious on the floor mixed and filled the room .

During the three independent days when his parents waited and stayed in the hospital ,he was so busy that he wanted to tell me how to work the washer and cooker and where are the equipment,he desired to be a helper.  He wanted to bathe and to clean his teeth and to go to the bed by himself even though making a chaos.  The next morning ,he took off the pajamas into a formal dress and waited a long time for his daddy taking him to the daycare and wondered something wrong .

The third day, he is so happy to see that his parents hold a new baby coming back home and he starts to help to hold, around and around the baby and do his best to pull the water mixing the milk into the bottle wanting to feed the baby .Nevertheless he is confused about every body stopping him and then crying loudly.

Miles feels getting unhappy and finds his parents loving the baby more and then he is sticking on his parents more to attract the notice and he is drinking the baby's milk with the bottle, no more eating meal with the chopsticks, he refuses to the daycare and refuses to go to the bed and makes troubles and noises.

The passionate little boy will be a lovely big brother and understand how to help correctly in learning.

一個熱情的小男孩

  小麥是一個兩歲的小男孩，透過觸摸媽媽圓滾滾的肚子，他被教導準備當大哥哥。在機場接來祖父母，他知道祖父母將陪伴他幾個月有時會代替父母照顧他，為表達盛情，他熱情洋溢的分享他的玩具，很努力的推來幾個紙箱，並在地板上倒出所有他的珍寶，整個房間一下子亂糟糟塞滿玩具。

在他父母到醫院待産和生産的三天中，他出奇的獨立，也忙碌萬分，想要教導我如何操作洗衣機和烹煮設備，他知道家中用品放置何處，渴望成為好幫手。他要自己洗澡，刷牙，上床睡覺，即使是越幫越忙，也是可圈可點。

第二天早晨，他換下睡衣，穿上正式服裝準備上幼兒日照中心，久等不到爸爸帶他上學，才感覺到有點兒不對勁。

第三天，小麥盼到看見爸爸媽媽抱了一個小嬰兒回家，他很快樂，開始想幫忙抱小寶貝，繞著嬰兒兜圈子團團轉，然後他去倒水和奶粉進奶瓶，努力沖奶要餵嬰兒，儘管做了這麼多，他很困惑為什麼每一個人都制止他把他拉開，他開始大哭。

小麥感覺越來越不快樂，並發現爸媽愛寶貝比較多，他開始黏住爸媽要求抱抱，為引起注意他用奶瓶喝嬰兒奶，不再用筷子吃飯，拒絕上幼兒日照中心，拒絕上床睡覺，整天製造麻煩和哭鬧。

這個熱情的小男孩，將透過不斷的學習了解如何正確的幫忙，而成為一個可愛的大哥哥。

We Are Here to Help

We are here to help

Flying over the Pacific Ocean ,we arrived at the airport of San Francisco to hope giving a hand to our youngest daughter and her family. While a new baby is just around the corner and how to take care of the two-year-old son at the same time bother them. We are glad to say, "Don't worry. We are here to help."，

Spending a week to get along with Miles, he is similar to us and willing to receive the care of the grandparents instead of parents. A great blessing Is the new baby come in at noon today . 

Being a grandparent of six children , is recognized helpful and patient .We wish our generations to make a smooth landing in their life,but don't have a finger in every pie and don't answer every call .Since we love them , we'll be there if they want and need us.

我們就在這兒，會幫忙

飛越太平洋，我們到達舊金山機場希望給我們的小女兒一家提供一臂之力。當一個新生兒即將到來而同時要照顧兩歲幼兒困擾他們。我們很高興説，「別擔心，我們就在這兒，會幫忙。」

花了一星期與小麥相處，讓他熟悉祖父母，並樂意接受我們代替父母的照顧。一個大大的祝福，新生兒今天中午來到人間。

作為一個擁有六個孫子女的祖父母，我們被公認是有助益有耐心的，而且我們期望晚輩生活能夠平平順順。我們不想介入他們的生活，也不會回應每件請求，因為愛他們，當他們真正有需要我們時，我們就在那兒。

Ciho- a Secret Garden

Ciho located in Daxi Township of Taoyuan , in the past time, it was a military general staff ,a ruler's homeland and finally became the site of President Chiang Kai- Shek's Mausoleum. In recent years,

the secret garden was opened to the tourists.

There are many white and black swans floating on the beautiful lake slowly and elegantly ,various kinds of water plants and colorful flowers lying in the sunshine. The giant woods stand on the driveway sides, hidden houses was the general staff and many underground tunnels are appealed to the curious people. The pictures of President Chiang's big family hang on the living room. It is a quiet and peaceful scene worthy of making a tour ,especially a person who is interesting in the history of China Civil War.

A flock of the President Chiang Kai-Shek's statues present at the different styles and stages standing together on the green field. However the ages would remind of that they were ever standing up the plazas everywhere in Taiwan.

Now, Taiwan is a democratic country ,but all the way we never forget to say" thank you" to look up to the heavens. Nevertheless Life is a best blessing.

慈湖一一個秘密花園

慈湖位於桃園大溪鎮，在過往的年代，它是一個軍事參謀總部，一個統治者的家園，最終成為蔣介石總統陵寢的所在地。近年這秘密花園開放給遊客參觀。

有許多白色黑色的天鵝悠悠然高雅的浮遊於湖上，各種水草和美麗的花卉舒適的躺在陽光下閃耀，巨大的林木蓊鬱的站立車道兩旁，林蔭深處隱藏的房子曾是參謀總部，許多地下隧道最吸引好奇的人們。起居室掛滿了蔣總統大家庭的生活照片。它寧靜安祥的景色值得一遊，尤其是對有興趣於國共內戰歷史的人更值得來走走。

一群以各種不同姿態和呈現不同階段性的蔣介石總統雕塑像一起站立在綠色的公園上。無論如何，年長的人都會記得他們曾經矗立在台灣每一個地方的廣場上。

現在，台灣是一個民主國家，但是一路上我們在仰望上天時，絶不忘記常懷感恩之心.生命本身就是一個最大的祝福。
